hmm.. dun noe if it's coz vday is just around the corner..
it's suppose to be like a really happie thing.. like u noe.. when u celebrate new year.. the anticipating.. the excitement.. the joy to be with the other one..
okae maybe new year is not really a good analogy. but u all get wad i mean rite (:..
well i am not saying that vday is making everyone feel a little sore.. not because they burnt a hole in their pockets over it.. it is definitely still a joyous and special occasion.
But i guess it's also a time when people just give their relationship, the other half a little more thought.
Recently, close friends around me are thinking a little more about their the other half. Not just the 'visible' one who is sitting right next to them, hugging them tight, giving them warmth, but also the 'invisible' one. The 'invisible' one meaning ' The One'. well who's 'The One' i guess no one knows too even for the person who longs for 'The One'. ok.. getting abit confusing here. hee...
On and off, some friends around me just broke up.. patch backed again. some waiting to patch back after breaking up.. some on the verge of breaking up.. some waiting to be/get attached and not forgetting some who still are attached. I guess it's unavoidable when the question of 'Is he/she 'The One'?' comes into play, whether you have just got attached or if you have been attached for very long.
I remember a friend once told me before that everyone longs for The One. And i do agree with him. I always believe like since the day we visualise who's our dream girl or guy, we have kind of started thinking about who we want to be with when we grow up. Well of course, we will not/may not be able to end up with our dream girl/ guy or someone who looks like them finally, coz our 'tastes' and needs change as we move along in the different phases of our lives. But ultimately we longed for The One who can give us happiness and whom we will share our woes and weals with for a lifetime.
There are people who are still searching for The One; there are people who though are attached, are still looking out for The One and also there are people who have already found The One. But one question that will always be a mystery for us is' who is actually The One for us?'. I think we will never know. some says that you will know when she or he arrives. but do we? is it that simple? sometimes humans like us do get a bit emotional. So was that momentary flutter of the heart an emotional side of us or is it an indication that The One for us has arrived?
It is just too fairytale to say that the one beside you now is definitely The One for you and no one is better than him/her. Even for myself, i always believe that somewhere in this part of the world, there is someone who is really The One for me. But have i found him? i probably will never know even till my last breath. One thing that i have grown to realise is that even though we may not be sure if he is The One, but still if we can give the both of us happiness, why seek for a better one, why bother to look for The One? Have you ever wonder what if ' The One' that you have always been looking out for doesn't exist at all?
i am sure there are always more or 'better' people than the one who is giving you happiness. But isn't it going to be tiring for you to seek for The One throughout a lifetime and only till your last breath, you realised the person who gave you happiness years ago is still waiting for you? maybe this is a bit like drama-fied but well... think abt it.
Have the courage to take that step for the one who gave and still gives you happiness.
