today is the last day of my tuition. By tomorrow malcom would have finished his science paper. which means my duty as his tuition teacher will end there too.
hmm.. been teaching him since december... that's like almost 10 months. well it's not really a very long period of time compared to other people who have been teaching their kids for like years. but somehow i grown attached to him. unknowingly. and i only realised it today. my last day of tuition.
i was telling mr fishy .. don't know whether i should be sad or happy. sometimes it's really madness.. rushing from school after class to tuition in tampines then back school again for training or projects. and i can't believe that i managed to stay this mad for 10 months.
i think maybe because i really like teaching him. not that i like teaching very much.. i know it's not my cup of tea.. but i think it's the kid that makes the difference. everytime after tuition, i ended feeling very good and happie :") no matter how bad my day was before tuition. sometimes it's those silly little things that he does that amuses me very much like he likes to toy with eraser dust, kneadable eraser, staples, magnets.. stuff like that. sometimes he likes to show me his latest 'gadget' which he keep it away from his mum.. sometimes he likes shows me the many guppies in his fish tanks which he is quite proud of.. (can imagine the glow on his face.. hehehe) and i actually learnt quite a bit of interesting facts on fishes from him too. oh.. not forgetting that sometimes he says really cold jokes.. so just like me. hahaha..
somehow i found it a little hard to say to him that today is the last day of tuition. i think he didn't think that i might not be teaching him anymore in the future. he actually told his mum that he still wants me to teach him and he don't want other tuition teachers. that was really really touching to hear. coz all the while i know i am not really that good enough. i just try my best. it was hard to realise that i will not see this cute, a little chubby boy anymore. at least not that frequent. quite enjoying teaching him tuition. )': oh well... i still thinks he deserves to get a tuition teacher who can devote more time in teaching him.. so i can really concetrate on school stuff. so glad he loves the present that i got for him. ( coz his birthday is this coming friday) '1001 interesting facts' something that will get him all hype up. haha :D
and not forgetting his mum's cooking! she makes really good muah chee, curry veggie, laksa and many more that she offered whenever i come for tuition. will miss the food. but i think i will miss him more. really nice kid. it's a surprise that people can grow so attached to each other within such a short span of time. or maybe it's just me. hee.
