jus back frm ltb camp..
voice's gone.. erm. but sounds kinda saxaiee.. Hahaha :P
really felt the whole impact of the camp physically n mentally when the last activity ended.
which was the surprise party we had for the intellect. disabled.
suddenly my head felt so weird.. like getting a little queasy.. some kinda head spells.. not fainting spells of coz.. it's not that bad..
2 day 1 nite camp..
prepared it for like 5-6 weeks.. it's jus over like that.
imagined the day before we only managed to settle the final details of how the whole camp's goin to be like.. printing the camp booklet... which took me some time..
plus to say the truth. our wet weather plan was like .. er.. really impromptu.
only focused on dry weather.
And i think we were quite lucky that the weather was good except for a short short drizzle at later part of the day today n yest. but it din affect our activities at all.
was quite apprenhensive in the morning.. din noe if the volunteers are gonna show up.. even on time .. coz time was quite tight in the first half of the day.
but i can say everything went on smoothly.. as in we did faced some problems but they were all settled quite quickly.
was quite lucky that the volunteers were able to fit into the picture.. helping the benficiaries. intereacting with them.
coz initially there were flustered. like they dun noe how n wad to tok to the beneficiaries.
but after sometime, when they are familiar with them.. it jus comes so naturally.
i am amazed :)
like wad one of the volunteers said:"initially u will fear them.. as in u dun noe wad to do with them.. but then u realised they do have feelings n emotions. And some of them are really kindhearted n fun to be with"
which reminds me.. i have this beneficiary who's a Spore idol wannabe, who's fav spore idol is taufik and.. erm.. slyvester..(dun ask me y), who's fav dance is break dance (! ^^)..
he likes to tok to pple.. and non-stop too..
the volunteer assigned to him kept asking for subs. hahaah to tok to the beneficiary.
but i am really glad everyone had fun in this camp besides achieving our objectives.
it's really the sense of achievement. now i noe why they say that.
And i noe this is a diff one.
someow doin LTB makes me think of the old days. when i was in the council in sec sch.
days of being in charge of camps. org them.
hectic. mad-rush. biggie headache.
but i luv it X)
ate too much snacks yest. had my first twisties in 2 yrs? hahah
taste so good suddenly.
too bad we only had cheese n chicken.
no tomato, sour cream.. wanna try them all.
think i had too much of M&Ms Snickers and twisties. we bought too much for them.
now my voice's gone. *bleah
